J. Harrison Ellinwood BIC, PE, LEED AP
Harrison Ellinwood is a registered Professional Engineer and a licensed North Carolina Broker-in-Charge. His educational and professional background has enabled him throughout his career to focus on many different types of design, construction and real estate development. As an accredited
professional in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) he has established proficiency in sustainable design and construction techniques. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Business Management and Accounting from North Carolina State University. Mr. Ellinwood has successfully managed the design and construction of multi-family developments, office buildings, theaters, museums, schools, parking decks, and continuing care communities for corporate, private, medical, educational, and institutional clients.
Mr. Ellinwood establishes efficient project collaboration with an emphasis on creative, cost-effective and sustainable design solutions. He directs the project design team management and consultant coordination, while also managing project development financials, pro-formas, budgets, schedules, marketing and business development. His professional affiliations include involvement in the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Institute of Steel Construction, the National Association of Realtors, the NC Association of Realtors, Carteret County Association of Realtors, and the Realtors Commercial Alliance.
In addition to his professional developments, he remains active in sports, having earned multiple State racquetball titles, philanthropy and his community. For close to twenty years, he has been actively involved in fundraising for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and, since 2014, has served on the Board of Directors for the Triangle/Eastern NC Chapter of JDRF, which covers 51 counties in North Carolina from the Triangle region to the coast. Dedicated to strengthening his local community and beyond, he has a passionate mission to provide quality,affordable housing for families and seniors. He resides in Raleigh with his wife, Hollie, and their three daughters.
